Haruka test Sakuto on what his ability level is right now. They need to see what his current state is and do some test to see if he is the appropriate candidate for the surgery.
They discuss that Sakuto lacks the intelligence to decipher the picture that Haruka showed him.
Algernon can get out of the maze when they injected him with the intelligence serum.
They put Sakuto in a hologram maze as well. But Sakuto hasn't done the surgery to improve his brain so this is an experiment to show what he does at his current state.
Sakuto really likes playing with Algernon.
The rat creeps me out, don' think i can every play with it.
Ryuichi comes back from the hospitals and apologize for tricking them. The guys say they are even now because Ryuichi injured his arm because of them.
Mai and Rio come to look for Sakuto. I think Mai likes Sakuto even though is disable.
Mai would like to hang out with Sakuto again. Ryuichi said it would be best not to take Sakuto to crowded places because he can get lost like last time.
Mai offers them to go to her vacation house.
Sakuto has dinner with Haruka and Doctor.
Sakuto ask if Doctor has a bride. Haruka tells Sakuto that it is a private matter.
Doctor said it's okay and answers: I had a bride but we are separated now.
Ryuichi and Kosuke ask the manager where Sakuto is. Manger tells them that Sakuto is going to get surgery to be smart.
Kosuke begins to worry because he feels the surgery is suspicious and it's the first surgery to turn a disable person smart.
Sakuto enters and Kosuke tells him he doesn't have to do the surgery. Manager ask Sakuto if he wants to do the surgery, to which Sakuto replies yes.
Sakuto's own desire is to become smarter.
Doctor and Haruka talk with a sponsor(let's call him director). Doctor decided that in five days they will do the surgery on Sakuto.
The groups hangs out at Mai's vacation home.
It looks so grand, I wish I had that kind of house.
Mai confirmed that Sakuto's heart doesn't beat for her and she feels disappointed.
While walking along the beach, she suddenly falls. When she sees Sakuto, she ask who he is. I think she has some kind of brain deteriorating illness.
Haruka finds out that the Doctor is using Sakuto as a human Guinea pig.
Turns out, Mai is the Director's daughter. If Doctor is successful with Sakuto then Mai will be saved and the Director will sponsor more.
I feel sorry for her because she doesn't know that Sakuto is the human test subject.
I feel REALLY sorry for Sakuto.
Algernon finds his bride. They look cute together in their rat like way.
Haruka ask if Sakuto wants to do the surgery. Sakuto says he wants to be smart.
Haruka feels sorry for Sakuto and she starts to cry. Sakuto gives her a hug to try to comfort her.
At the day of the surgery, Sakuto finds out that Haruka is not there. She broke their promise about her being there with him.
He runs out of the hospital without wearing any shoes, but he remembers his green jacket at least.
Doctor calls Haruka to tell her that they didn't perform the surgery because Sakuto ran away. Doctor guessed that Sakuto is looking for Haruka. Haruka doesn't think Sakuto will look for her because she broke their promise and by doing that she abandoned him.
Sakuto actually found his way to Haruka's apartment, hurrah!
His feet got a lot of wounds though, so Haruka help bandage him.
Sakuto also in his own way confessed that he likes Haruka.
Sakuto comes back to the hospital and does the surgery with Haruka by his side.
