Cruel Romance ep 13 recap

YMZ keeps on getting those bloody letters from her stalker.

She was about to open the letter when she noticed XHC. XHC says "coming home so late."

YMZ is tired and XHC wants to know what has gotten her so tired.

XHC ask why she didn't tell him about doing an advertisement for Mei Hwa.

XHC says, "the whole Shanghai knows you are my women."

YMZ says, "Yes, I know. You gave me everything. I am just an animal under your care."

YMZ ask him to leave. XHC says, "If I walk through the door then I won't be coming back."

Someone looks like he is regretting his words.

YMZ has a few flashbacks. First is with MR and the japanese guy.

Second flashback is with XYD.

Third flashback is with XHC.

XHC also has a flashback. It was about his talk with XYD. XHC wouldn't have pursued YMZ if she knew about XYD's feelings. XHC begs XYD to give him YMZ, he says this is the first time he is begging him.

The photo shoot is starting again. Once the camera man says to take a break, XYD walks away from MYZ.

RJX ask if YMZ is thirsty or if she needs anything. She ask RJX to massage her legs. RJX says yes right away.

XYD can't stand to see it anymore and pulls RJX away.

YMZ says, "you are trying to protect her right?"

XYD answers, "yes"

While the argument was happening, Chen manager pushed a pole onto them. While Chen manager was hesitating, the stalker guy pushed her.

So the stalker guy was actually the one who did it.

Wonder how he got into the studio.


Really happy that XYD saves RJX.

YMZ looks really shocked. JL comes in to ask if she is okay and what happen.

They catch Chen manager. The piece of evidence is the small fabric left by her at the crime scene.

Chen manager says, "RJX, please believe me, I'm Mei Hwa's employee, why would a wreak Mei Hwa's reputation"

The CEO steps in and says she will report it to the police and let them investigate.

When the CEO mentions police, Chen manager spills everything and says, "I wanted to push that pole but someone pushed me from behind."


The CEO deeply apologize for this accident. They will continue the photo shoot tomorrow.

RJX sees a wound on YMZ's hand and XYD offers to take her to the hospital. YMZ rejects and says, "I will go by myself."

ZM says RJX is looking sad. ZM says, "If you care for her then go see her." ZZ doesn't want to make an appearance and says let's leave. ZM said they waited for 2 hours! ZZ replies with "I only came to see the house."

ZZ, we all know you are lying. You just wanted to see RJX.

The photo shoot starts again. Well they look awkward after the camera man is done.

They bump into each other and RJX ask if she is hurt. YMZ replies, "Are you dumb, you got hurt too."

Suddenly the lights went out.

Cue the horror music.

The stalker guy comes in with a knife in his hand. He calls out for YMZ.

Both of them run away and the stalker is chasing them down.

JL finally tells XHC about the bloody letters. JL says YMZ wants her to keep it a secret but the situation has gotten out of control.

JL says, YMZ is in danger.

XHC says, "I am still alive, who dares to touch my women."

RJX runs out to lure the stalker away, but have little success.

The stalker mistakes RJX for YMZ. The stalker talks about the times they danced and says when they die, they will be together forever.

YMZ comes out to stop him. The stalker finally realize the one he is holding is not YMZ.

He says he will kill the both of them.

XHC comes to the studio. Everyone is standing outside because of the fire. XHC runs into the fire to save the love of his life.

He finds YMZ and RJX. RJX says, "My sister can't handle it, take her away."

I can guess who is going to appear to save RJX.

What a superman! Love XHC.


Fun fact:
The actor (XHC) is from Hong Kong, I never knew that.

ZZ comes walking through the flames like a terminator. He grabs RJX and tells her, "RJX, you idiot."

RJX ask, "Why did you comes?"

ZZ says, "I will find you no matter where you are. No one can take you from my world. RJX, hold on."
RJX was going to talk but ZZ said to shut up.

XHC thinks about if something did happen to YMZ, he wouldn't know what to do.

ZZ replies, "Women are very scary."

Well these two had a very good man talk.

XYD says he has something to discuss with XHC. XYD regrets his decision to give up on YMZ. XYD says, "you made YMZ suffer." XHC says, she is your sister-in-law. XYD says, you haven't married her officially yet.

XYD says, "You should give her a title." XHC replies, "I will."

ZZ's assistant finds the stalker. TH says he has mental problems and found pictures of YMZ in his room.

XHC says, he never wants to see this man in Shanghai.

RJX comments, "Should he be sent to the court or was it mental hospital."

ZZ drags her away and ask her why are you helping that murder.
RJX tells ZZ that he is a human with a life. She thinks back to the things that the stalker has done. She starts to cry as she says, "I almost died."

ZZ looks worried and tries to hug RJX but she shakes her head and stops him.

ZZ hugs her and says, "I will not let you die. I will protect you. I won't allow you to leave me."

RJX says back in the village, her family eats together. She ask if she can eat with YMZ.
YMZ replies with the date and place for tomorrow.

MR comes to visit her later on in the day. YMZ finally finds out that he set up the whole accident.

YMZ says what if I died, you will loss a chess piece.

She rejects him and says he won't do anything anymore.

MR said it's thanks to them that got her back up on her feet, not XHC or XYD.

She thinks back to them time when her mother dies. She questions why she has become like this. She remembers her mother words: We have become like this because of RJX and her mother.

YMZ is back to hating RJX again.

RJX is nervously waiting for YMZ.

XYD ask her to sit down. They hear her stomach growl.

While writing the word growl, I thought of EXO's growl dance.

XYD enters angrily. He says RJX and him has been waiting the whole day for her.

YMZ answers, "I forgot."

XYD: RJX treats you like a sister and this is how you treat her.
YMZ: To be honest, how RJX treats me and what our relationship is, is none of your concern.

RJX thinks what she has to do to turn her relationship with her sister to become good again.

While she is thinking this, a photographer sees her.

He says how beautiful and takes a picture of her.

After changing his films, he looks up and doesn't see her anymore.

This is why we have digital camera nowadays. Works faster and can take a few pictures within seconds.

"RJX, it was because of your mother that my mother suffered. It was because of the both of you that I have become like this. I am Rong family's big daughter."
